The resort's 7 km of fine golden sand offer plenty of space and freedom to soak up the sun. Le Racou’, a little corner of paradise by the beach at the foot of the Albères mountains, adds to the charm of the place. The village, with its distinctive Catalan accent, 14th-century church, narrow streets, ramparts, markets, crafts and festivals, was first mentioned in the 9th century. A former stronghold of the Kings of Aragon and Majorca, it became French in 1659.
