Discover fabulous food and history on your camping holiday at Dordogne Périgord!

In the heart of a protected area, the bungalows and mobile homes on our luxury campsites will let you discover many preserved sites, one of the special attractions of the Dordogne Périgord.

History buffs can follow in the footsteps of the first humans with a tour of the famous caves at Lascaux. Nicknamed the “Sistine Chapel of the Périgord”, they are hailed as one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. Those who come to the Dordogne for a romantic getaway can spend a candlelit evening in the hanging gardens of Marqueyssac, just a few miles away from our campsite. Music hall fans can go in search of Josephine Baker in theChâteau des Milandes, a protected historical monument, where she lived for more than ten years! Campers looking for architectural marvels should head to Périgueux and its Cathédrale de Saint-Front, a Roman Catholic jewel and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or stop at theChâteau de Beynac, a Medieval treasure famous as the best-preserved castle in the region.

Those who spend their holidays on our starred campsites in the Dordogne Périgord can try the Périgord cuisine, a feast for the senses that will delight even the most discerning palates! There is duck aiguillette in raspberry vinegar, truffle omelette, garlic soup, walnut tart, duck confit, duck fat-roasted potatoes, marzipan, hazelnut cake, truffle mushroom risotto, or Périgord salad with foie gras... Even the greediest campers will take several weeks to try all the local delicacies!

What’s more, our guests can enjoy the beauty of the Dordogne Périgord in excellent weather conditions: the summers are very warm here and it hardly ever rains!
