The Dalmatian coast is renowned for its stunning scenery. You can explore it by bike or on foot, but make sure you have good walking shoes, a hat and plenty of water. You’ll find charming vantage points, authentic villages and welcoming locals.
A kayak is an excellent way to hop from beach to beach and get to the small islands of the archipelago, including Vestar, which gives its name to the campsite. Make some inquiries before you go and prepare to take to the seas!
The Brijuni National Park consists of two large islands and 12 islets and is not to be missed. You can partake in zoological and archaeological activities or simply enjoy a relaxing stroll.
Don't miss a visit to Rovinj, just 5 km from the campsite. This stunning town on the Adriatic coast boasts an enchanting and architecturally diverse old town complete with fortifications and shaded side streets. St. Euphemia Church is a fascinating example of Venetian-style architecture and provides a fascinating glimpse into the town’s history. The old harbour is the perfect place to stop in a quaint cafe and enjoy a local delicacy.
You can also head to Pula, a hilltop Venetian fortress. The town's strategic location means that successive civilisations have left their mark through the ages, from Antiquity to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Note that in Pula both Croatian and Italian are spoken.
