The first is Tarragona, where you can wander the shady streets of the medieval city or visit the Roman circus that overlooks the sea. There are many museums and the old port is very lively, lined with delightful restaurants.
The other city excursion will take you to Barcelona, the celebrated Catalan capital. A visit to the national archaeological museum is a must for lovers of all things Roman. The Sagrada Familia church, still under construction, Güell Park and the architecture of Gaudi will appeal to visitors of every age.
